A few job requirements listed in a junk e-mail I got today:
- to be the habitant of the USA;
- command aspiring to success;
- to have sure vital position;
I'm not really sure what "to have sure vital position" means. Any ideas? (It could be the only thing holding me back from a promising business career!)

Had a tasty piece of quiche for lunch. The restaurant was called "The Edible Difference," and if any of you can explain why somebody thought that was a good name for their restaurant you get a gold star from me, man, because I'm still scratching my head.

Wait, how is it that the Dragonball movie came out already and I didn't know about it? How did they manage to not promote that movie at all whatsoever? Also, why the hell is Goku Canadian? I am so gonna watch the hell out of this stupid-ass movie as soon as I figure out what theater has low enough standards to play it. (Movie theaters, standards? Ha, this should be easy!)

8:58 am - The Deluxe on a Tuesday night

Went to the Seven Shot Screamers show at Deluxe last night. It was totally great. You shoulda been there. The River City Rebels opened for them and played a great set. They've got a good sound and are really fun to watch. Their fiddler had loadsa strings hanging off of her bow after the first song from playing so hard, which is the kind of fiddling I heartily approve of. And the Seven Shot Screamers were, well, of course they were awesome! So yeah, worth staying up late on a weeknight for! (And if you get a chance to see the River City Rebels, I recommend it.)
April 15th. Did you remember to file your taxes? I sent mine yesterday because last minute is just how I do.

I get really annoyed when I see the previews for "Race to Witch Mountain." Partly it's seeing yet another crappy remake of an older film. Partly I'm tired of the Rock's face. Largely I was bothered by the overused shot of "car hits person with superpowers and is smashed in OMG." But there was something else. Some loathing I couldn't quite place. Then it hit me. It's got the boy from the travesty they called "The Seeker." That kid is out to ruin my childhood.

This morning I had a dream in which at one point I was assaulted by two men and fended them off by brandishing a unicycle. I had previously been riding the unicycle of course, so this made perfect sense.
Last night for the first time I caught a commercial for Watchmen which actually included dialog. This movie is going to be excruciating. Comes out today, doesn't it? I'm looking forward to the reviews. Not so much looking forward to seeing it, but I'm gonna. I feel compelled. (Also, Sheila will drag me to it regardless.)

11:49 am - Cartoon review, y'all

Been several months at least since I even bothered watching cartoons on a Saturday morning, so once again I believe it's time for a (brief) Saturday morning cartoon review!
So, I saw Chaotic (or is it spelled with a "k" at the end to be edgy? I can't remember) and noticed that it seems to have acquired both a plot and an animation budget since the first time I saw it. Well, good for it, I guess. One of the characters got redesigned to look like a young Vash the Stampede though, and I find that distracting. One of the other characters wants to be Jack Black. Well, that's understandable.
Also saw Huntik. The theme song for that show is straight out of 1985, you guys. It's epic. Along the lines of that old Crossfire commercial. Less badass of course, but what can live up to the greatness of the Crossfire commercial, really? I'm unnerved by how much the character Dante looks like my character Chris. Like, he's basically Chris but a little taller and with a goatee. It's eerie. Chris is waaay times cooler than Dante though and could kick his ass a million times over. Just have to keep telling myself that.

Ugh. Hotmail finally managed to screw up their interface enough to prevent me from actually reading my e-mail. The ads show up...on top of the e-mail. I hate you hotmail.
